Not far from our Head Office in St Helens is The Hope Centre.
Founded in 2004 by the church, The Hope Centre began as a charity to help people through unemployment, skills shortages and social deprevation. More than 20 years later they are still more important than ever, providing vital support through the delivery of courses, advice and guidance to people across St Helens.
One of many projects run by The Hope Centre is St Helens Foodbank, which provides emergency food parcels, baby supplies and hygiene products to families in crisis. The foobank is still run in partnership with local churches, but they also rely on the help of local volunteers, businesses and members of the public to raise awareness, and to lend a hand in their fundraising efforts wherever needed.
Colleagues from our St Helens office provide regular help to The Hope Centre foodbank collection, most recently by manning their food donation point at Tesco’s in St Helens. To invest a few hours of our time is a seemingly small gesture, but one that makes a huge difference; the generosity we see every time never fails to move and overwhelm us.
Ultimately, The Hope Centre aims to change communities for the better, offering support and safety to those who need it most. Here at Alumasc Roofing, we are proud to play our part in bringing social value to St Helens on behalf of The Hope Centre, alongside all of their other brilliant supporters and volunteers we meet along the way.
