Solacell is a non-penetrative solar PV mounting system for flat roofs. Designed for use with Alumasc bituminous waterproofing systems, it provides a means of installing photovoltaic panels without mechanically fixing through the waterproofing layer. Suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects, the system can be used across a wide range of buildings, subject to structural loading requirements.
Manufactured from recycled aluminium, Solacell provides a lightweight, corrosion resistant mounting solution with a system weight of approximately 3.3-4kg/m² dependent on system variation, excluding PV modules. Universal clamps accommodate a wide range of photovoltaic panel formats, while flat and tilted configurations allow the system to be tailored to energy generation requirements.
Bitumen rails provide linear load distribution across the roof, avoiding concentrated point loads. System stability has been verified in accordance with Eurocode 1, with wind load calculations available to support system design.
Specify Solacell where on-site renewable energy generation and reduced operational carbon emissions are key project requirements. Designed for warm roof constructions, the system provides a non-penetrative solution for integrating rooftop solar PV with Alumasc bituminous waterproofing systems.
